The great barrier reaching to the sky at the source of the Llobregat river is the Serra del Cadí-Moixeró, with peaks over 2,000 metres high. This mountain barrier marks a great contrast between the two sides of the mountain range, protecting the Berguedà from the worst of the Pyrenean winters and ensuring that this region enjoys a Mediterranean climate for the best part of the year. Our itinerary, which combines sections of the GR-150 and GR-4 walking routes, takes us along the southern side of the Cadí-Moixeró through hamlets and villages nestling at the foot of its slopes. You will be able us to experience both sides of the range, as a first route covers the sunny Berguedà side and a second route takes us north into Cerdanya.
